Davanti Platform is a support system for violin or viola that allows the instrument to be suspended securely in front of a player. Davanti means "in front" which can be compared with da Gamba (with the knees) and da Brachio (on the arm). The biggest features of Davanti Platform are positionality and positional stability. Not only is the position likely the most ergonomic for violin and viola, but the instrument is very stable in front of the player. Cellists and adult beginners will make great use of Davanti Platform because of the position and also the fact that the use of the platform affords a surprisingly reasonable learning curve.

Davanti Platform can be used for violin and viola, and even as small as 3/4 violin. The platform can be held in three sitting configurations and one standing configuration. A strap is included for the standing configuration (see position video in this product entry).

This is an FDM manufactured (3D printed) product. The feet (similar to shoulder rest feet) are made of a softer rubber, and precisely conform to C-bout overhangs. The platform's central mechanism is a ball-universal-joint which allows the instrument to be positioned and tightened with an adjustment knob. The scroll rests against the chest, creating back pressure for the left hand.

Davanti Platform is a new addition to the Stringvision line of ergonomic products. This new product was conceived, invented and designed by John Krovoza, who also invented Keypeg for cello and Stringvision Bowgrip. The product is made entirely in the Stringvision workshop in Northern Arizona.

If you are a cellist or an adult beginner, give Davanti Platform an honest assessment. This is simply the best way for anyone to learn violin or viola.
